Termites eat wood and can do extensive damage to your home if not detected in time and since termites only swarm once or twice a year, you may never even know they are there. Some estimates suggest that damage from termites in the United States exceeds 1 billion dollars annually. Does your homeowner’s insurance policy provide for the repair of damages caused by termites? Most homeowner policies do not therefore it is not an option to protect your home from termite infestation.
How do you know if you have termites?
The Termite Inspection
We will come to your home or business and provide you with a comprehensive inspection for termites. Your structure is closely inspected for any signs of active or previous termite activity. We look for signs such as visible mud tubes leading from the ground to the structure, termite swarmer wings, holes in woodwork and sheetrock as well as performing sounding techniques to the wooden portions of the foundation.
Termite Control and Treatment Options
For termite control you may choose from several options including:
Standard Liquid Treatments: We use Termidor Insecticide, a revolutionary, non-repellent liquid formulation designed to kill the termite colony. Most of our competitors use less expensive repellent chemical formulas designed to create a barrier around your structure. The barrier is designed to keep termites out but DOES NOTHING TO KILL THE COLONY. In addition it is nearly impossible to create a solid barrier, so more often than not, TERMITES DEFEAT THE BARRIER AND REACH THE STRUCTURE. That is not the case with our treatments. Termites are able to forage through the chemical, freely moving in and out of the treated area. Once this has happened they take the chemical back to the colony where they transfer it to other workers and then to the queen, eventually killing the entire colony. Colony gone, Termite infestation gone. It’s that simple and Termidor is VIRTUALLY ODORLESS so you won’t even know it is there.
We may also include an interior foam application to compliment this treatment in the event an infestation has been detected inside of the walls of the structure.
Termite Baiting Systems (TBS): We use the Advance Termite Baiting System. Some of our customers prefer baiting over liquid therefore we offer this as an alternative for termite monitoring and control. Advance has a proven record and its manufacturer stands clearly on its own in research and development. We are confident that if you desire a TBS Advance will meet your needs.
